WHO I AM

A smiling middle-aged man with short, gray hair, wearing glasses, a light-patterned dress shirt, and a dark blazer, standing in front of a stone wall.

I’m a guy who has three real passions in my life: rocks, wood, and politics. I have a degree in Geology, I owned a furniture refinishing business, and I’m now running to serve my community. My wife of 21 years Nancy is a veterinarian, and our 16-year-old son Jason is a high school junior.

HOW I CONNECT WITH THE COMMUNITY

LIVING IN THE TOWN

Birds

I have been documenting birds in my backyards for years and have seen 86 different varieties! The town is a wonderful place for wildlife and I work to enhance it whenever I can.

Trees

My plantings on my property are as varied as prairies for pollinators with hundreds of trees and bushes for the birds. All trees are natives that produce berries or nuts that provide great habitat.

Creek

I have been an active member of the Ulao Creek Partnership (U.C.P) for a dozen years now. The Creek drains most of the town eventually to the Milwaukee River. If you like gamefishing, this is where the northern pike breed. The water quality of Ulao Creek is important which is why I support efforts to minimize farm runoff, including manure and pesticides.
